Welcome to the second new category intro! This one is pure fun, somewhat frivolous and, well, as the name says, whimsical.
We all need some whimsy in our lives these days, don’t you think? A little escape from reality. But a healthy escape.
The theme of this category was born out of a rekindling of the joy of reading. I’ve always loved books: reading them, collecting them, thinking about them, musing over books I’d like to write, studying literature.
Some may argue that actually reading books and buying books are two different hobbies.
They’re not wrong.
Both are a fun and enjoyable way to pass some leisure time.
So, this category will be about books I’m currently, have recently read and the books I’m “dipping” into for a season or two.
You can also expect some recommendations on shows and movies because I have opinions about those things, too.
To round out the topics, I’ll share my adventures and misadventures tackling new hobbies and recreational pursuits.
That should be fun. Maybe I’ll share the story about the “rogue wave” sometime.
