Living with Loved Items: A Friday Favorite for the Independent Homemaker
This week I found myself gazing around my home, really appreciating all the things it has accumulated over the years. Some things I sourced myself, while other things have been passed down through generations.
It’s such a wonderful sense of history, richness and shared story when your home is filled with collected pieces. Pieces that have been loved by many hands. Items that have sat there as the landing pad, providing comfort during difficulties.
Surrounding ourselves with the things we love in our homes, gives a special layer of contentment, satisfaction and, yes, joy, to our daily lives. These seem like small, insignificant things but we’ll find that, often, it’s these small things that are the ones adding up to a great, big life.
